This morning, something unusual happened in the Paphos region. Drivers on the Nikokleia-Paphos road saw an ostrich casually walking along the road.
Vassos Christodoulou, a local resident, recorded the incident on video. It surprised and worried many since this road sees a lot of traffic. But drivers stayed calm, slowed down, and carefully went around the bird.
No accidents were reported, which is great news considering the size of the animal and the risks involved.
The police were quickly notified and worked to find the ostrich, as it likely escaped from its usual home. Authorities remind drivers to be extra careful when animals are on the road.
