The case file about Phaedon Phaedonos, the suspended Mayor of Paphos, has been sent back to the Legal Service of the Republic of Cyprus by the Cyprus Police Headquarters.
The Legal Service will review the file, look over the evidence, and decide on next steps. As for the complaint about the assault on Mr. Phaedonos’ wife, police sources say it likely won’t go to court, since the investigation didn’t find proof to support the claim.
In a recent social media post, Phaedon Phaedonos denied the charges against him, claiming it’s an attempt at political destruction.
