Police arrested a person for stealing electricity during checks in the Paphos district last night.
This case came up during a police operation. They found an illegal connection to the electrical network after an inspection. The suspect was arrested, and the investigation is ongoing. In addition, six other people were arrested in Paphos, Nicosia, and Larnaca during these targeted operations.
In Paphos, four arrests were made related to two housebreaking and theft cases and one domestic violence case. In Nicosia and Larnaca, three people were arrested for two drug possession cases and one case of illegal residency in the Republic.
During the night, police stopped 326 vehicles for checks and inspected 413 individuals. They also checked 30 premises. From the traffic checks, they filed 115 complaints for various violations, and seven traffic violation cases are being investigated. Seven vehicles were impounded as part of these investigations.
