The Cyprus Sports Organization officially announced the tender for the full reconstruction of the Stelios Kyriakides Stadium, also known as Pafiako.
Interested parties can submit their bids by next May. A company linked to champion Paphos FC is likely to win, as the club’s owners started the modernization process.
This project will be a ‘palace’, with reconstruction costs of 30 million euros.
The Cyprus Sports Organization stated that once construction starts, the upgraded Paphos Stadium will be finished in three years.
In the meantime, residents of Limassol should get ready to host Paphos for European matches until at least 2029.
