The Municipality of Paralimni-Deryneia is stepping up its efforts for animal welfare. They are installing ten new feeding stations for stray cats in different spots. This initiative will give the animals steady and safe access to food, greatly improving their living conditions.
Municipal officials called this action a big step forward. It shows that the local community cares more about animal welfare. They also promised to keep working on similar projects, aiming to make a safer and kinder environment for stray animals.
At the same time, the Municipality is improving basic infrastructure. Plans are approved to upgrade a central roundabout in Paralimni. The redesign will feature a traditional agricultural windmill as a landmark, along with a circular water feature that has illuminated fountains. There will also be extensive tree planting and beautification with plants and flowers.
These efforts are part of the Municipality’s larger plan to boost residents’ quality of life. They combine animal protection with better aesthetics and functionality in public spaces.
