Drivers continue to ignore the Traffic Code, leading Police to hand out 48 speeding fines during yesterday’s checks.
Police reports show that over 420 checks were done on the road network, resulting in 138 traffic offense complaints. Out of these, 48 were for speeding, which is a major cause of serious and deadly traffic accidents.
The checks are part of a Police plan to prevent traffic accidents and keep citizens safe by enforcing traffic rules. Also, during yesterday’s operations, Police arrested two people nationwide for serious crimes and other offenses. At the same time, inspections were done at 21 establishments to prevent and address delinquent behaviors.
