Police operations continued last night, focusing on certain urban areas. The goal is to stop crime, protect people, and keep public order.
During these operations, nine people were arrested for different offenses. In Nicosia, two were arrested: one for staying illegally and another for unpaid fines. In Limassol, two were arrested for domestic violence. In Paphos, five people were arrested: two for assault, one for illegal stay, one for illegal work, and one for having a small amount of drugs.
More than 220 vehicles were checked during the night, and over 290 passengers were inspected. Additionally, 20 places were checked to prevent bad behavior.
Traffic checks led to 92 complaints for various Road Traffic Code violations. Also, 80 alcohol tests were done on drivers, resulting in one complaint. Three vehicles were impounded as part of traffic investigations.
These operations are part of a strong plan by the police. It includes more officers and targeted checks in all areas to prevent crime and boost public safety.
