Last night, the Police carried out preventive operations with more checks and a stronger presence in urban areas. Their goal was to stop serious crimes and keep everyone safe.
During these operations, six people were arrested. In Limassol, three were caught for staying illegally in the Republic. Another person was arrested for illegal stay and stealing from a home. In Paphos, one person was arrested for domestic violence and another for causing a traffic accident.
Throughout the night, officers checked over 400 vehicles and more than 530 individuals. They also inspected 28 locations, leading to three complaints.
From the traffic checks, there were 114 complaints about violations. Out of 88 alcohol tests, two violations were found. Additionally, six vehicles were taken as part of traffic investigations.
The Police stress that these operations will keep going to prevent crime and boost security in all areas.
