The Police Union of the ISOTITA association has strongly condemned the Chief of Police’s decision to cut police officers’ leave days.
The union points out that this decision has faced major pushback from politicians, organized groups, unions, and former senior police officials. They argue that it lacks both institutional and social support.
Additionally, they warn that they will not tolerate any further decline in police officers’ labor rights. They are ready to use all legal and union options if the decision isn’t changed right away. “Those who ignore the voice of the police and the will of society will bear the consequences,” the statement concludes.
