A flood is happening in the Paphos district due to heavy rain affecting much of the area. The police are asking everyone to be extra careful on the roads. Water is building up, and visibility is low in several spots.
The weather is looking good for the region’s water supply and brings a festive Christmas vibe. Heavy rain and hail have created rare scenes of white landscapes, even by the coast. Hail was reported in Geroskipou, along Paphos’ western coast, and near the airport.
Lots of water has built up on the Paphos–Limassol highway and key roads in Paphos city. This makes it important for drivers to stay alert. On the Limassol–Paphos highway, heavy hail has made visibility worse.
