The Police ask drivers to stay alert as the wet weather makes roads dangerous in some spots.
In mountainous and higher areas, especially in the morning, frost can make roads very slippery. Drivers should slow down and pay extra attention.
Because of frost, some roads to Troodos are open only to four-wheel drive vehicles or those with snow chains. These roads include Platres–Troodos, Karvounas–Troodos, Prodromos–Troodos, and parts of the road network around Pedoulas, Kakopetria, and Lemythou.
Other roads in the mountainous area are open to all vehicles. But be careful; the road surface is slippery from frost or light snow.
Meanwhile, road work across the country may cause delays or changes in traffic. The Police remind everyone to follow signs and traffic instructions for safety.
