A race is being held to remember Kyprianos Papaiouannou, who tragically died in the train accident in Tempi in 2023. This accident shocked Greece and Cyprus, taking many lives, including students who were traveling.
The race will happen on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 13:00. It will start at the LOK camp in Cape Greco, where Kyprianos did his military service. The finish line will be at his memorial in Avgorou Cemetery, honoring his memory.
The organizers invite everyone to join the race, to pay tribute not just to Kyprianos Papaiouannou but also to all the students who lost their lives in the Tempi accident, keeping their memory alive.
