This official, who is on pay scale A14, is being investigated for illegally starting a company with false claims. Even after almost 5 years, the case is still pending trial, which is about to start. General Auditor Andreas Papakostantinou brought this issue to light while talking to Katia Savva on the show “Alpha News”. He confirmed that no action is being taken right now, as the case is still before the court. He also mentioned that procedures have been started.
The long delay in the judicial process means the official’s suspension continues, and the public sector keeps paying his salary without a court decision.
