A serious road accident happened on New Year’s Day in Limassol. A 41-year-old man and his two children were injured.
According to the police, the driver suddenly felt dizzy while driving on Ellados Street. He lost control of the car, which first hit a parked vehicle and then crashed into a wall. His two children were in the car: the 13-year-old had minor injuries, while the 7-year-old, sitting in the back seat, was seriously hurt. She was taken to Limassol General Hospital, where doctors found a wrist fracture and internal bleeding. Because of her condition, she was moved to Makarios Hospital and is now in the ICU. Doctors say her condition is serious but not life-threatening.
The father had minor injuries and was discharged after getting first aid. Limassol Traffic Police are looking into what caused the accident and checking if the children were wearing seat belts or using child seats.
