Yes, transparency is right and necessary. This is how a modern state should function. Citizens should know who gets paid, how, and why. Like in the old days at cafes, where everything was said clearly without footnotes. But transparency alone doesn’t fill refrigerators.
At the top of the salary pyramid is the President of the Republic, receiving a total monthly salary with allowances of 14,401 euros, with net monthly earnings after tax of 9,145 euros.
Following are the Attorney General of the Republic, the Assistant Attorney General, the President and members of the Supreme Court with 13,531 euros total monthly salary with allowances and net monthly earnings 9,207 euros.
The next tier, with a total monthly salary with allowances of 12,173 euros, and a net monthly salary of 8,331 euros includes the President and judges of the Court of Appeal.
The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Annita Demetriou, has a total monthly salary with allowances of 11,456 euros and net earnings of 7,461 euros.
The President of the Public Service Commission follows with a total monthly salary with allowances of 11,431 euros and net earnings of 7,241 euros and the President of the Educational Service Commission with a total monthly salary with allowances of 10,871 euros and net earnings of 6,924 euros monthly.
The President and judges of District and Administrative Courts, Naval Court and Commercial Court receive a total monthly salary with allowances of 10,712 euros and net earnings of 7,456 euros.
Following with a total monthly salary with allowances of 10,696 euros and net earnings of 7,172 euros are the Chief of Police, Auditor General, Director General of Parliament, Head of Special Independent Services, Director General of Ministry or Deputy Ministry or General Directorate, Chief Registrar, Accountant General, Commissioner for Administration (net salary 6,825), Chairperson of Competition Protection Commission (net salary 7,366).
The Ministers, Deputy Ministers and Government Spokesperson receive a total monthly salary with allowances of 9,343 euros and net earnings after tax of 6,078 euros. The same total monthly salary with allowances is received by the Director General of the Office of the President of the Republic, Commissioner for Transparency (net salary 6,385), Commissioner for Legislation and Commissioner for Children’s Rights (net salary 6,078).
The Department Director (with fixed salary) has a total monthly salary with allowances of 8,996 euros and net 6,145 euros.
The Tax Commissioner has a total monthly salary with allowances of 8,996 euros and net 6,145 euros. The Commissioner for Personal Data Protection has a total monthly salary with allowances of 8,921 euros and net 6,214 euros.
The President Another Court as well as Senior District Judge/ Judge Another Court have a total monthly salary with allowances of 8,849 euros and net 6,261 euros. The Member Public Service Commission has a total monthly salarywith allowances of 8,511 euros and net 5,547 euros.
The Deputy Chief National Guard has a total monthly salary with allowances of 8,496 euros and net 5,815 euros.
The Internal Audit Commissioner has a total monthly salary with allowances of 7.915 euros and net 5.210 euros. The Member Parliament / Religious Representative has a total monthly salary with allowances of 7.911 euros and net 5.466 euros. The Member Educational Service Commission has a total monthly salary with allowances of 7.819 euros and net 5.155 euros.
The Commissioners for Presidency Affairs: Environment & Animal Welfare; Citizen; Equality; Mountain Community Development; Cooperative Companies Service have a total monthly salary with allowances of 7.866 euros and net after-tax income: €5.386. The Chairman Deviation Study Council has a gross monthly wage: €7.118; Net: €5.071.
The Chairman Tender Review Authority receives gross: €6.539; Net: €4.696. The Member Independent Anti-Corruption Authority receives gross: €6.154; Net: €4.318. The State Aid Control Commissioner receives gross: €6.076; Net: €4.398.
The Chairman Tax Council receives gross: €5.269; Net: €3.889. The Deputy Government Spokesperson receives gross: €5.288; Net: €3.787. The Member Competition Protection Commission receives gross: €5.076; Net: €3.769. The Member Tender Review Authority receives gross: €5.000; Net: €3.722.
The Greek Cypriot Side Representative Missing Persons Committee receives gross: €4.970; Net: €3.603. The Member Tax Council receives gross: €4523; Net: €3.427. The Press Office Director President’s Office receives gross: €4.420; Net: €3.267.

Treasury clarifies that presented net salaries are based solely on statutory deductions.. Additionally revised income tax scales effective January-1-2026 considered without accounting potential additional deductions exemptions other incomes possibly altering final net amount per case basis.
