In 2025, the Integrated Support Plan for fire-hit areas in mountainous Limassol was 19% complete. Total spending reached €17.4 million, according to a report from the General Accounting Office of the Republic.

This Plan has a total budget of €89.6 million. It’s based on decisions from the Council of Ministers and is fully funded by the state budget of the Republic of Cyprus. The GAO notes that contributions from citizens haven’t been used yet and are kept in a separate account until decisions are made.

The data shows good progress in helping tourism businesses and affected farmers. At the community level, water infrastructure restoration projects and protective measures in watercourses are nearly complete. For households, the fund for one-time aid for fire victims was exceeded, but lower rates were seen in home restoration compensation and rent subsidies.

The General Accounting Office promises that they will keep track of how actions are implemented. Regular updates will be provided to ensure transparency, accountability, and timely information for citizens.
