This season has not started as everyone at Apollon would have hoped, yet it is far from being considered a lost cause. There is time, there are opportunities for reaction, and most importantly, there is a pressing need for immediate improvement. Success is a one-way street and is clearly tied to a return to European competitions, whether achieved through the league or the cup.
The league’s break seems to have come at the right moment for Sofronis Augoustis’ team. It provides an opportunity for regrouping, especially given the challenging schedule ahead. If Apollon can build a positive streak in the upcoming matches, they could re-enter the race for their goals with renewed vigor.
As we noted in our previous report, in the next four matchdays, the “blue and whites” will compete at Alphamega Stadium, offering them a rare chance to leverage their home advantage.
