Weather conditions are changing under the influence of weak low pressure. During the morning hours, there will be intervals of cloudiness with a chance of light rain, while from noon onwards, local rains and isolated thunderstorms are expected, mainly in mountainous areas, inland, and possibly on the southeast coast. Sleet or snow is expected on the highest peaks of Troodos.
Winds will initially be variable and light, around 3 Beaufort, later becoming southwesterly to northwesterly, 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will be up to slight. Temperatures will rise to approximately 17 degrees inland, 18 on the coast, and 6 degrees in the mountains.
Overnight, locally increased cloudiness will be observed. Winds will blow mainly northwesterly, 3 to 4 Beaufort, with the sea remaining slight. Minimum temperatures will drop to 6 degrees inland, around 9 on the south and east coasts, approximately 10 on the west and north coasts, and 1 degree in the higher mountains, where frost is likely to form.
On Tuesday, cloudy intervals will prevail with a chance of local rains, while more rainfall is expected on Wednesday. On Thursday, instability continues with possible rains mainly in mountainous and inland areas, and snow or sleet in Troodos. The temperature will see a slight rise on Tuesday followed by a gradual drop until Thursday, remaining close to the average values for the season. The snow depth at Chionistra was recorded at 1 centimeter.
