Ski lovers in Cyprus can hit the slopes again at the Troodos Ski Center.
According to Kitasweather and the Troodos Ski Center team, on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at 10:00 AM, the first ski slope of the winter season will open. It’s the Sun Valley I (Aphrodite), ready to go after recent snowfall made conditions great.
This means Cypriot ski fans don’t have to just look at photos from the Alps. They can strap on their skis and enjoy the sport right in their own backyard, on a mountain where many winter adventurers have enjoyed themselves over the years. Other slopes still need more snow, and with no big snowfalls expected soon, it’s unclear when or if they will open.
In the meantime, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM daily, the lift on the North Face slope will run for walks and scenic views only. This gives everyone a chance to take in the beautiful winter scenery of Troodos. The lift won’t be used for skiing on this slope.
