Two girls, aged 14 and 15, of Greek descent, are among the victims of the tragedy in Cran Montana, Switzerland.
According to the ERT correspondent, they are Alicia and Diana. Their mother is of Greek origin. The state channel reported that their grandfather was a well-known businessman in Lausanne.
Meanwhile, 15-year-old Greek-Swiss Aliki Kallergi is still missing. Her family is anxiously hoping she is among the injured yet to be identified.
The latest update from Swiss authorities states that 24 victims have been identified so far, mostly teenagers and young adults. Of the 119 injured, 113 have been officially recognized. The nationalities include 71 Swiss, 14 French, 11 Italians, and four Serbs, along with citizens from Bosnia, Belgium, Luxembourg, Poland, and Portugal. The nationalities of 14 injured remain unknown for now.
The investigations and identification processes are ongoing. Authorities say this is one of the deadliest tragedies in recent years for the area.
