David Ankeye won’t be joining Freedom24 Krasava ENY after all.
Even though there was a preliminary deal with Genoa and the Nigerian forward, he asked to leave the team and Cyprus just hours after arriving. He mentioned a sudden family issue.
This surprising news came from the team’s spokesperson in Ypsonas, Christoforos Michailoudis, on SuperSport 104.
Mr. Michailoudis shared his thoughts on Ankeye and the sudden end of the agreement:
“A sudden family problem came up, and the player requested to go back to his homeland. Despite our agreement with him, we won’t push for it due to this issue. We are now exploring other options.”
