A weak low-pressure system is affecting the region, causing weather conditions to get worse in the coming days. Today, the weather will start off clear, but clouds will build up. You might see some isolated showers in the afternoon, especially in mountainous areas, northern regions, and inland. By evening, light dust could also be in the air.
Winds will begin from the northwest to northeast at 3-4 Beaufort, reaching up to 5 Beaufort in windy spots. Later, they will shift to a moderate southwest to northwest. The sea will be slightly rough, and locally rough in some areas. Temperatures will hit about 22 degrees Celsius inland and on the eastern and southern coasts, 20 degrees on the western and northern coasts, and 12 degrees in the mountains.
At night, local showers are expected mainly in the west and south. Temperatures will drop significantly, around 7 degrees Celsius inland and down to 2 degrees in higher mountainous areas, where frost is likely.
On Sunday, unstable weather with rain and isolated thunderstorms will gradually affect most parts of the island. Snow or sleet may fall on the peaks of Troodos. On Monday, rain and thunderstorms will become stronger mainly in the south, mountains, and inland areas. Isolated weather events will continue on Tuesday. The temperature will drop on Sunday, stay similar on Monday, and rise slightly on Tuesday.
