The weather starts off with some weak high pressure in the area. But from Saturday, a low-pressure system from the south will affect Cyprus. There will be some dust in the air, with levels possibly rising at times starting Friday.
Today, expect mainly clear skies in the morning. Clouds will form in the mountains and southwest after noon. Winds will come from the northeast to east, blowing weak to moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort, and locally up to 5 Beaufort. The sea will be slightly rough in the west and slightly rough to rough in other coastal areas. The temperature will hit about 20 degrees inland, 22 degrees on the coast, and 10 degrees in the higher mountains.
At night, the weather will stay mainly clear. Winds will mainly come from the north to northeast at 3 to 4 Beaufort. The temperature will drop to around 6 degrees inland, 10 degrees on the coast, and 2 degrees in the higher mountains, where frost may form.
On Friday, expect more high clouds. Later in the day, there might be some light showers, mainly in mountainous areas and south of Troodos.
On Saturday, it will get cloudy with local showers and possible isolated thunderstorms. On Sunday, clouds will increase mainly after noon, possibly bringing isolated showers or a thunderstorm, especially in mountainous areas and eastern Cyprus.
The temperature will stay about the same on Friday, drop on Saturday, and rise slightly on Sunday.
