The low-pressure system BYRON is heading towards the island. It will change the weather starting tonight, with dust appearing at times. Today, expect partly cloudy skies and a chance of isolated showers. Winds will blow from northeast to southeast at 4–5 Beaufort, and locally up to 6 Beaufort. The sea will be slightly to moderately rough. Temperatures will reach 23 degrees inland and on the coast, and 12 degrees in the mountains.
Tonight, the weather will stay partly cloudy, with scattered showers and possible thunderstorms mainly in the west and north. Winds will be light to moderate at 3–4 Beaufort, and the sea will remain slightly rough. Temperatures will drop to 10 degrees inland, 14 on the coast, and 6 in the mountains.
On Saturday, expect mainly cloudy skies with rain and thunderstorms, especially in the afternoon. Snow could fall on the peaks of Troodos. Similar weather with rain and thunderstorms is likely on Sunday and Monday. Temperatures will decrease on Saturday and stabilize around average values in the following days.
