A science fiction story about a woman who supposedly takes kittens for illegal adoptions and experiments has caught a lot of attention in Cyprus lately.
Chryso Kakofengitou, a volunteer from Rights For Animals Rescue Cyprus, shared on ALPHA that this is just a made-up story. The goal was to mix animal care with science fiction. In reality, the cats are safe, and many have found loving homes.
The president of the Cat Protection and Welfare Association, Dinos Agiomamitis, stated that no cats have gone missing or been stolen. The woman with the van, who was rumored to be ‘abducting’ cats, only took them temporarily for care and returned them.
Additionally, reports of missing cats have been sent to both the Police and the Animal Police. They say they are looking into the woman’s case. However, Mr. Dinos Agiomamitis has found the woman and visited her at home, confirming that the cats are safe and there is no wrongdoing.
