A tragic construction accident occurred today in the Kofinou area, resulting in the fatal injury of a worker during the unloading of concrete counterweights from a truck.
The victim was 55-year-old Fins Alexandru from Romania who, was employed by a private company involved in assembling electricity pylons. According to reports, at the time of the accident, he was inside the truck’s bed, which under circumstances being investigated, tilted to the right, causing his fatal injury.
The relevant authorities have launched an investigation to determine the causes of the accident and to identify any safety lapses.
