A low-pressure system is impacting Cyprus, bringing dust in the air until evening. A Yellow Warning is in place from 06:00 today until 06:00 tomorrow for rain and isolated thunderstorms.
Today’s weather will be mostly cloudy with rain and local thunderstorms. Snow or sleet may fall on the higher peaks of Troodos, and hail could happen during storms. Winds will blow from the south to southwest at 4-5 Beaufort, reaching up to 6 Beaufort at times, causing rough seas. The temperature will hit 19°C inland and along the coast, and drop to 8°C in the mountains.
Tonight, expect local showers and thunderstorms again, with strong winds on the coast up to 7 Beaufort and very rough seas. The temperature will fall to 8°C inland, 12°C on the coast, and 4°C in the mountains.
On Saturday, the weather will improve. On Sunday and Monday, we’ll see mainly clear skies with some clouds and a gradual rise in temperatures above normal.
