CYPRUS: Cloudiness, dust, heat, and strong winds characterize today’s weather
Localized cloudiness, heat, light dust in the atmosphere, and strong winds will be the main features of today’s weather in Cyprus.
Today, the weather will be mostly clear, although periods of localized increased cloudiness will be observed. Winds will primarily blow from the northeast to southeast, light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort, and temporarily, especially in coastal areas, moderate to strong and locally strong, 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea in the west and south will generally be slightly choppy; however, in the north and east, it will be slightly choppy to choppy. The temperature will rise to around 25 degrees inland and at the coasts and around 14 degrees in the higher mountainous areas.
Tonight, the weather will be mainly clear. Winds will continue to blow primarily from the northeast to southeast, light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort, and temporarily in the eastern coastal areas moderate, 4 Beaufort. The sea will generally be slightly choppy; however, temporarily in the north and east, it will be up to choppy. The temperature will drop to around 10 degrees inland, around 14 at the coasts, and around 6 degrees in the higher mountainous areas.
On Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, the weather will be mainly clear, although periods of increased high cloudiness will be observed. The temperature will gradually rise until Friday, significantly exceeding the average climatic values for this time of year.
