Some days, you just want to live differently. Away from the city, closer to nature, with kids playing freely and the smell of fresh bread in the air. Clean Monday at Riverland Bio Farm is just that: a return to simplicity and authenticity.
From morning on, the farm buzzes with life. Kids laugh, animals make sounds, and people meet each other around a big wooden table. The tours bring us closer to country life, while milking and feeding the animals become unforgettable moments — especially for our little friends.
In the workshops, hands get messy with flour and delicious scents fill the air. We make halloumi pies and olive pies, create traditional halloumi, and remember that tradition is not just something from the past — it’s something you live.
At 5:00 PM, the day gets even more special. We hike to the nearby horse breeding farm to meet the newborn foals up close. It’s a sweet moment in nature that brings smiles to everyone.
And of course, there’s a celebration! Music, dancing, and kites flying high in the sky, just like tradition says. Clean Monday here isn’t just a day out — it’s an experience for all your senses.
The fasting dish is simple and authentic:
fresh bread, tahini, olives, vegetables, boiled potatoes, beetroot, olive pie, tahini pie, halva, and citrus fruit from Yafit. Flavors that speak to your heart.
