Sparta Prague is on the lookout for a goalkeeper. Reports say they are eyeing Steaua’s keeper, Stefan Tarnovaru.
However, Gigi Becali, the owner of the Bucharest team, wants a hefty fee for his transfer. This might make it hard for both sides to agree.
If that doesn’t work out, the Czech team will explore other options suggested by their technical management.
One name on their list is Neofytos Michael. The international goalkeeper has been outstanding this season. His performances in Pafos’ Champions League matches have really boosted his value.
This is why the Czechs are interested in him. They also have three younger goalkeepers in mind.
If Michael becomes a top candidate for Sparta’s goalkeeper position and they decide to sign him in the winter transfer window, they will need to meet Pafos’ financial demands. Michael is under contract with the ‘blue and whites’ until May 31, 2026.
