The Ministry of Education and Culture has announced that schools in the Akrotiri area will be closed due to the current situation.
The Ministry of Education, Sports, and Youth (YPAN) says that, as a precaution, the Akrotiri Primary School and Kindergarten, along with the Akrotiri Environmental Education Center, will be closed on Monday, March 9, 2026.
In response, the remote learning system is now active, so students can continue their lessons from home. This applies to students, teachers, and all school staff.
Additionally, the Educational Psychology Service of the Ministry of Education is here to help students, parents, and teachers from 07:30 to 15:00 at the phone numbers 22806344 and 22800806 for Nicosia, 24821363 for Larnaca and Famagusta, and 25822850 for Limassol and Paphos. The Ministry encourages everyone to follow instructions and stay updated on any changes regarding school operations.
