Apple has started paying $200-350 each to users of iPhone 7/7 Plus smartphones with defective sound. We are talking about the so-called Loop Disease – a problem associated with the audio chip in a part of the sold devices. Read more writes 9to5mac.
Several years ago, users affected by the predicament filed a class action lawsuit against Apple in the United States. After a long trial, the manufacturer agreed to satisfy it. So, joined the lawsuit, the users began to receive about $200 compensation. However, if the repair was previously paid independently, the amount rises to $350.
However, there is a nuance: the term for joining the class action expired last summer. That is, not all iPhone owners could get compensation, even if the problem affected them. In addition, Apple itself did not admit wrongdoing, but only went to a settlement agreement.
