A student from the Technical School of Larnaca achieved something great in a fashion competition organized by UCLan Cyprus. This event connects secondary education with higher education.

Maria Pri stood out among participants from technical schools all over Cyprus. She won first place because of her creativity, style, and technical skills. Thanks to her win, she will showcase her creation at the university’s fashion show during Athens Fashion Week 2026. This will give her valuable experience and exposure to the global fashion world.

The competition was an important chance for young creators, according to the organizers. It allowed them to explore university facilities and specialized labs up close, while testing their skills in a challenging creative setting. UCLan Cyprus aims to help students transition to higher education and build skills for the modern fashion industry through such initiatives.

Participating in Athens Fashion Week is a big step for both the student and the university’s Fashion Design program students. It allows them to present their work to industry professionals and media representatives.

Maria Pri’s success also shows how these actions can highlight new talents and boost the creative sector in Cyprus.
