The Cyprus Police made nine arrests last night during operations all over the island. The arrests were for offenses like conspiracy to commit a felony, causing serious injury, drug possession, carrying a knife, and illegal stay in the Republic.
During the checks, they inspected 363 drivers and passengers, and checked 24 premises, leading to one complaint. They focused on traffic policing, reporting a total of 143 violations.
Importantly, there were 50 complaints for speeding, and 22 traffic cases were recorded. They also conducted 53 alcohol tests, resulting in two complaints, and impounded seven vehicles for further checks.
