The young Giannakis, as he’s known, is a PAOK fan and a person with disabilities. He once again touched all Greeks with his strong spirit.
In a heartfelt video on social media, he said goodbye to the seven supporters of the ‘Double-Headed Eagle of the North’ who lost their lives in Romania. He sent a message of support to their families and the whole football community.
“Today Greek football mourns the tragedy in Romania. We lost our brothers unfairly on the road. No one started this journey not to return home. PAOK is not just about victories and cups. It is faces, it is souls, it is people who love and travel for the same black-and-white madness,” says young Giannakis in the video.
Young Giannakis shows us that love for football, solidarity, and bravery have no age or limits.
With his words, he reminds us that behind every team are people and families. “I want to tell the grieving families that we are with you. Every time PAOK’s stands sing, our children will be there too. Eternal be their memory,” he concludes.
