Omonia Thrives as a Team Regardless of Lineup
Henning Berg has every reason to be happy. His players shine, whether they start or come off the bench. The motto “whoever plays, plays for everyone” is a key rule at Omonia this season, and it shows on the field.
Except for the match against Ethnikos Achnas, where the roster changes didn’t work out and led to their first league loss, other games tell a different story. Every time Berg switches up the squad, the team keeps its identity. The players who come in look ready, like they’ve just played a full 90 minutes.
The Norwegian coach and his staff have built a strong environment. The intensity in training at “Ilias Poullos” shows up in their matches.
When someone is missing, the team finds a way to keep going without losing its rhythm or quality. Berg has brought all players into his plan, motivating them to give exactly what he wants.
A great example is the game against Omonia Aradippou: seven changes were made to the starting lineup, but the team played flawlessly. They decided the match in the first half and controlled the result perfectly afterward.
This season, Omonia shows it has depth and quality, no matter who plays. This stability keeps them at the top and makes them favorites for the title.
