Without harm to health, you can eat about 60-70 grams of chips per month – about such a portion fits into two palms of an adult. This was told by therapist Nadezhda Chernyshova, she is quoted by mlyn.by.
The first thing the doctor warned about: chips are very fatty and caloric. According to her, every 100 grams contain 30 grams of fat and more than 500 kilocalories.
However, the therapist emphasized that the high caloric content is not the worst thing.
“Chips are cooked in a deep fryer at high temperatures, because of this, dangerous carcinogenic substances are formed in them. Regular consumption of them can increase the risk of cancer”, – warned the doctor.
In addition, Nadezhda Chernyshova noted that chips provoke an increase in cholesterol levels, the development of atherosclerosis and exacerbation of chronic diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, such as gastritis, pancreatitis and cholecystitis.
“Without harm to health, you can eat once a month 60-70 grams of chips. It is acceptable to eat them a little more often, but each portion should be about 30 grams. Exactly that much fits in the palm of an adult’s hand,” she concluded.
