A walk through these villages—especially those that seem to have stepped out of a fairy tale—reminds us of the good old days, when life flowed more slowly and people lived closer to nature and to one another. Let us remember our grandmothers and grandfathers, who always said that life in the past may have been difficult, but it was simple and more humane. They knew one another and helped each other. They lived and “got by” with little and were happy with what they had. They did not ask for more; they made the impossible possible and remained silent with what they possessed.
