Claudia Delmer was a special figure in Greek music. Her voice was full of emotion, and her work blended harmony and beauty. She reached new heights in her career with Mimis Plessas on the album Roads of the Sea (2008). This album featured Spanish and Greek poems set to music, creating a unique collection of songs that resonated with many.
The singer, who was a mother of four, was born in Warsaw, Poland. She grew up in Madrid and studied at Mannes College of Music in New York. There, she discovered her love for Greek music and brought it back to Greece. Her first album, Ainola, featured music by Manolis Xydakis and Vangelis Fampas.
Claudia Delmer passed away after fighting pancreatic cancer. Her partner shared the news on Facebook with heartfelt words: “In the early hours of Friday, after a long battle fought with every cell of her being, Klaudia passed into the Light.”
During her short life, Claudia made a lasting impact on Greek music. She connected the Greek language and music with her unique sensitivity and talent. She will always be remembered by those who loved her.

Before she passed away, the singer shared her struggles with fans as she bravely fought for her health. Many people came together to support her treatments in Germany. In a touching letter online, she expressed gratitude to everyone who helped: “As I wait for a miracle, you have already given me many great miracles on this difficult journey. You became a tsunami of love and kindness… And what can I say about our youth, the children who even offered their pocket money for this cause!”.
Her treatment wrapped up in Munich, Germany on November 12. Just two days after returning to Greece, she suffered a pulmonary embolism and was hospitalized for 13 days. She faced complications like jaundice due to liver issues. The singer noted that she could only walk a few steps and needed rest while recovery required careful monitoring.
