We’ve put together a selection of cultural events in Cyprus for this week. Choose where you’d like to go: theatre, cinema, concerts, or exhibitions.

THEATER

In Nicosia, the Satirical Theater is showing ‘The Elephant Man’, directed by Andreas Kyriakou. Catch it every Saturday and Sunday, plus on December 5 and 19. The Children’s Stage continues with ‘The Little Prince’ every Sunday morning.

The THOC has two shows: ‘The Emperor’s New Clothes’ at Stage 018 and the classic crime play ‘Murder on the Orient Express’ at the Central Stage, directed by Takis Tzamargias.

At WhereHaus 612, catch ‘The Island’, a production by ETHAL and Point To Contemporary about colonialism, on November 30 and December 1. Dendro Theater is hosting Tennessee Williams’ ‘The Glass Menagerie’ until mid-December, followed by a tour in Limassol, Larnaca, and Paphos.

Dionysos Theater is featuring the popular French play ‘Dinner for Idiots’. Maskarini presents ‘Which Europe?’ by Michalis Papadopoulos. Anemona Theater brings back the festive ‘Happy Birthday, Mr. Scrooge’, while Pantheon hosts the multicultural children’s play ‘Once Upon a Time… in a Country’.

In Limassol, ETHAL presents ‘The Return of Fairy Tales’ on November 30, directed by Michalis Kolokotronis.

MUSIC

A unique mix of piano and flamenco is at Rialto Theater in Limassol. Manolis Neophytou and Philippa Stylianoudi present ‘El Pulso Secreto’, featuring works from Piazzolla to Rachmaninoff.

In Nicosia, the Cyprus Chamber Orchestra revives the special music-narrative performance ‘Sounds of Fairytales – The Heart of Rigaina’. It’s narrated by Stavros Loura with original music by Andreas Papapetrou at Artos House on 30/11, 6/12, and 7/12.

EXHIBITIONS

The exhibition ‘Simoni Simoni at Garage’ stands out in the capital. It showcases a dual artistic archive of two generations. Meanwhile, Nicosia Masterplan Hall in the Neutral Zone presents ‘Of Monumental’, exploring public art as part of collective memory.

The Austrian Embassy in Cyprus marks its 20th anniversary with the installation ‘Water Movement Nicosia’ at Town Hall Square, running until 2026.

The city’s program includes exhibitions like ‘Visible-Invisible’ (E.KA.TE.), ‘Fragments’ at Prozak, ‘Sign Language for Common People’ at Alpha C.K. Art Gallery, and ‘Nature’s Stage’ at Art Seen. Don’t miss the large archival exhibition ‘Christoforos Savva: Simple – Complex – Invisible’ at Leventis Gallery.

Other notable exhibitions include: ‘MetaMorfozen’ at Apokalipsi Gallery, ‘Thickets’ at Marginalia Gallery, the group show ‘Papiers – Fountain of Desires’ at Isnotgallery, and the section ‘Coexistence’ at Hambis Printmaking Museum.

In Limassol, Lumiere presents Liubov M.’s exhibition ‘Whispers on Glass’, until December 6.

CINEMA

This week brings four new films: Yiannis Economides’ latest, ‘Broken Vein’, the thriller ‘The Devil’s Teardrop’, Japanese drama ‘The Exit 8’, and family film ‘Zootopia 2’.

Pantheon exclusively screens ‘Broken Vein’ from November 27 to December 11. RIO cinemas in Nicosia and Limassol will show all new releases.
