The weather in Cyprus is entering a more multidimensional pattern in the coming days. Clouds, dust in the atmosphere, and isolated showers will alternate with sunshine. In the mountains, snow is also possible.

Dust will occasionally be suspended in the atmosphere, with concentrations temporarily increasing.

Tonight, there will be locally increased low clouds at times, which may initially bring isolated rain. Gradually, high clouds will also increase. Later and during the dawn hours, sparse fog or mist is expected to form locally, especially in the eastern half of the island. Winds will gradually become downslope and locally variable, light, at 3 Beaufort. The sea will gradually become calm to slightly rough, but locally in the west and north, it will be slightly rough. The temperature will drop to around 6 degrees inland, around 12 degrees on the western and northern coasts, around 10 degrees on the southern and eastern coasts, and around 3 degrees in the higher mountains where frost is expected to form locally.

The combination of dust and rain makes the atmosphere somewhat ‘difficult’, so masks or glasses are recommended for those sensitive to dust.

Tomorrow, the weather will be mostly cloudy. Locally, sparse fog or mist is expected during the morning hours, mainly in the eastern half of the island and later mainly in mountainous areas. Gradually, isolated light showers are expected. Winds will blow mainly from the northeast to southeast, light to moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort. Gradually in the west and north, they will be moderate to strong at 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea will initially be slightly rough but will gradually become slightly rough to rough and locally rough in the west and north. The temperature will rise to around 20 degrees inland, on the western and northern coasts, around 19 degrees on the southern and eastern coasts, and around 10 degrees in the higher mountains.

Tomorrow night, the weather will remain mostly cloudy. Gradually in the west and north, isolated showers are expected with a chance of an isolated thunderstorm. Initially, winds will blow from the northeast to southeast, light to moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort. In the west and north, they will be moderate to strong at 4 to 5 Beaufort. Later, winds will weaken and turn mainly southwest to northwest, light to moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will generally be slightly rough but later calm to slightly rough in the south and east.
