Second-year high school students can now enter the job market, explore different fields, and gain hands-on experiences beyond the classroom.
The Ministry of Education is bringing back tфhe School Work program. This allows second-year high school students to experience the real working world. From March 17 to 19 (dates may vary by school), students will be ‘hired’ temporarily in various workplaces. They will gain valuable skills and knowledge that aren’t just taught in class.
Students will work for three days in a field they choose. The remaining two days will be spent in seminars at school. Here, they will reinforce what they learned and share their experiences.
This initiative boosts students’ confidence and responsibility, encourages their active participation in society, and connects schools with the job market. It also provides experiences that will benefit them throughout their lives.

The Ministry of Education invites employers to join Work Week for second-year high school students during the 2025-2026 academic year. Applications are due by January 16, 2026, via electronic file.
If interested parties operate in multiple districts, they must submit a separate file for each district. This effort is part of the government’s plan to connect education with the job market and support the Recovery and Resilience Plan.
