The region is under a weak low-pressure system, with some dust in the air at times.
Today’s weather will be cloudy, with local rain and a few thunderstorms. Some storms may bring hail, while sleet or snow could fall on the higher peaks of Troodos. Winds will mainly come from the northeast to southeast, blowing weak to moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will be slightly rough. Expect temperatures of 18 degrees inland, around 20 on the coast, and 9 degrees in the mountains.
In the evening, the weather will improve a bit with partial clouds and some showers, mostly in coastal areas. Winds will calm down, blowing from northwest to northeast at about 3 Beaufort. The sea will be calm to slightly rough. Temperatures will drop to 9 degrees inland, 12 on the coast, and 4 degrees in the mountains, where frost may form in sheltered spots.
On Wednesday, expect partly cloudy weather with a chance of isolated showers. Thursday and Friday will see more clouds at times, bringing local rain or thunderstorms mainly after noon.
The temperature is not expected to change much until Friday, staying slightly above average for this time of year.
